Vietnam: Hoi An Full Moon Lantern Festival

I was hella lucky that my trip to Hoi An coincided with the monthly Full Moon Lantern Festival. Just when I had thought it couldn’t get any better than watching the sunset by the river, I had to pinch myself when almost all the electric lights suddenly went out and the town came alive through lantern adorned shops and bridges, the night market, candles floating on the river, and locals performing and playing ancient games. Although it could get a bit crowded in some areas, it still undeniably makes for a brilliant evening. Time your trip during this festival and you surely won’t regret it!
