France: Paris

Eiffel

Paris is definitely one of the most hyped up cities in the world. But despite that, it is an incredible place and there’s no getting around that fact. I’ve only been to the city thrice (and in ridiculously short spans of time) so this may be sort of a hasty observation or judgment, but I think the city sorta lives up to its reputation. Personally, I don’t think you have to be with someone special to enjoy Paris. For all its charm and kudos to Hollywood, you just tend to fall for the city itself. I consider the city as a more European version of London and the language barrier only makes it a more exciting place to discover and “get lost in.” Lotsa tourist traps though, so a bit of research would help before heading there!

Top tip: If you wanna skip the routine longass queue to climb la Eiffel, go during closing time!

For more on our Parisian break (in Nov 2011), here’s a little vid. It’s also one of the first videos I made so apologies for the dreadful second song and the length!

Do you have plans of venturing into film-making? Maybe if you go on a break you can do a mini docu of Manila showcasing what’s beautiful beyond the squalor & drudgery of the city 😊 BTW what did you use for editing your videos?

“Personally, I don’t think you have to be with someone special to enjoy Paris.” I think so too!! More like “me” time and fam time! Amazing, Mon Amour! ❤ santé!

  5. Anthony Bourdain’s Layover episode in Paris was what got to me the most. Although he says to skip the long lines to the Louvre & La Tour Eiffel because he was only there for 24 hours (or maybe less), I enjoyed the episode & I plan to even follow his footsteps. He went to places not a lot of travel shows tell us about but I won’t skip the Louvre. I would definitely go my way to see Van Gogh’s works in person! 🙂

Awesome photos. Wish you can travel back so you can post more about the city I so adore (but see only in my dreams)! ❤
